TEA and the Habing Family

Each year the Teutopolis Education Association, made up of certified and support staff, sponsors the Blue Jean Fund. For a donation at the beginning of the school year, the staff member may wear jeans on the first Friday of each month. At the end of the year, A family or organization is chosen to receive the monetary donations. This year, the family of Eric and Stephanie Habing was chosen to receive the $730 collected. In early December their oldest son had a medical emergency with his kidney that required the help of Children’s Hospital of St. Louis. The T.E.A. is glad that our young Wooden Shoe is back to health and enjoying his summer. With his parents, he will be making regular check-up trips to St. Louis. The T.E.A. hopes to help defray the costs, including all of the McDonald stops on those trips. We know how growing boys can eat! Pictured with family are T.E.A. Co-Presidents Jamie Habing and Cheryl McLeod, and Co-Vice-Presidents Teri Jansen and Tess Borries.
