Athletic Facilities Improved at Unit #50

Thanks to the Teutopolis Lion's Club

April 23, 2008

The Teutopolis Lion's club recently donated $4,000 to Teutopolis Unit #50 to help offset the cost of a new scorer/announcer booth at the track and soccer field.  The new booth, twice the size of the old booth, was needed to accommodate more workers for large track meets held at the site.  Additional contributors helping to get the booth built were the Teutopolis High School Booster Club, and many activity accounts at the schools including high school soccer and track, junior high track and baseball, and the junior high pep club.

Carl Schwinke and Charlie Semple of the Lion's club, along with several TJHS baseball players, stand in front of the new concession/announcer booth at the junior high school baseball field.

An additional benefit of having the new booth constructed is that the old booth was placed on top of a new concession stand at the junior high baseball field.  The new facility at the baseball field will eventually lead to having a sound system and a fully stocked concession stand.

Many thanks to the Teutopolis Community for providing our students with first class facilities.
