April 23, 2008
The Teutopolis Education Foundation recently accepted a check in the amount of $274.25 from representatives of Teutopolis Junior High School. The money was raised through an inkjet cartridge and used cell phone recycling program started at the school. Two or three times per year, TJHS principal, Bill Fritcher, ships used cartridges and cell phones to Kartridges for Kidz who pays non-profit organizations for their recycling efforts. Used cartridges and cell phones are collected at all Unit #50 schools and then forwarded to Teutopolis Junior High School for shipment.
The Teutopolis Education Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting students throughout Unit #50. Financial assistance is provided to Sigel St. Michael school as well. Information about the Foundation can be found on the Unit #50 website at http://www.teutopolisschools.org/vnews/display.v/SEC/Foundation, calling the Unit #50 office at 857-3535, or by contacting any Foundation Director.
