The Board voted on August 16, 2021 to maintain the Safe Return Plan previously approved in July. The plan allows for local Board modifications per the needs of the school district and community, and includes a current mask recommendation following CDC guidance.
When traveling to other schools/districts, Teutopolis student-athletes, coaches, and spectators will comply with that district's approach, even if masks are mandated per the EO No.85.
When hosting a mask mandated district in Teutopolis, student-athletes and coaches will mask as requested to ensure the opportunity for our students and programs. In all instances the district will recommend masking for spectators and will establish a buffer of fifteen feet (first three rows) from indoor playing surfaces to limit participant contact with spectators.
The District intends that these steps will respect the decisions of other districts and avoid contest forfeiture as per option outlined in the August 13 IHSA communication to all member schools.
