Thank you TGS students and staff for all the fun hallway displays this holiday season. 4th graders took down their displays today before starting Christmas break and decided to donate them to some local nursing homes. Hopefully the residents will enjoy the displays as much as we did!

The best Christmas gift you can give someone is spending time with them. Our 6th graders invited their grandparents to their classrooms to play games and spend quality time together. "It came without ribbons, it came without tags. It came without packages, boxes, or bags." "Maybe Christmas doesn't come from a store. Maybe Christmas perhaps means a little bit more."

The second grade students recently read a story about solar panels and solar energy. Tony and Traci Martin from Sonne Energy Solutions came to talk about how solar panels work. The students and teachers learned a lot. They are also the aunt and uncle of second grader, Charlie. Thank you for coming in!

Mrs. Tipton's kindergarten class had fun creating gingerbread houses and decorating them with lots of yummy candy. Earlier in the day, they made their own gingerbread man and put him in the oven. He popped out of the oven and they had to follow clues around the school to find him. It was an exciting day in kindergarten.

Students in Mrs. Wells' and Mrs. Bushur's 5th-grade reading classes participated in a Thanksgiving Book Tasting today. Students had to bring in their favorite book, a short book summary, and a treat that represents the book. Students got to travel around the classroom "tasting" other student's book choices. They were then able to create a list of future books they may want to read! Happy Thanksgiving!
