Kids Have Talent winner. The Student of the month is Casey Deters from Teutopolis Junior High . Casey
recently was awarded a certificate of recognition and a gift by Jake Donsbach & Brad Meinhart
of COUNTRY® Financial for his leadership in band playing trumpet in school band and he also
plays piano in competitions finishing first every time also pictured is Melissa Orndorff his
school music instructor . The winner was selected independently by school staff on
predetermined criteria. The Donsbach/Meinhart and the entire COUNTRY® Financial team
encourage all area students to strive for excellence in their school activities.

Golf Cookout! Wednesday, Sept. 18th. Come out and support our athletes! THS golf team will be grilling and serving in front of the high school between 4-6:30 PM.

Bike to School at TJHS will be on Friday, August 30, students please meet at the church parking lot between 7:30-7:45 am. Departing at 7:45 am sharp. TJHS teachers will be riding their bikes and monitoring this event. Parents can pick their child's bike up at TJHS anytime after 3:00 pm.

Teutopolis Junior High Fall Sports Practice Information
Junior High Boys Baseball practice begins Monday, August 5 starting at 5:45-7:30 pm at the Junior High Baseball Field.
Junior High Cross Country practice begins Monday, August 5 from 6:30--7:45 am at the Junior High.
All athletes must have a current physical and athletic code form submitted in the office before practice.

7th Grade Boys--State Champions
TJHS Seventh Grade field trip.
7th grade students wrote and illustrated books for students in Mrs. Breer's class after meeting them. The books featured the kindergarten students as the main characters in the books. All students loved the project!
Freshmen Health Requirements
Teutopolis Junior High students Gus Siemer, Gage Wendt, Isaac Vahling, Elise Passalacqua, Allie Drees, and Bailey Niccum performed at the Johnston Music Festival recently held at Lake Land College. Great job to all band members and chorus member Bailey Niccum.
Each year the 7th grade students from Teutopolis Junior High participate in an Americanism Essay Contest sponsored by Teutopolis American Legion Post 924. This year the essay topic was, "What are my responsibilities as a U.S. citizen?" All 7th graders wrote essays from their hearts full of patriotism. The winners this year were Hayden Jansen, son of Kary and Tina Jansen; Evan Waldhoff, son of Carl and Tricia Waldhoff; and Ellie Thoele, daughter of Randy and Amy Thoele. Members from the American Legion came to the school to present the students with their awards, and the students shared their essays with the student body.
