A Clear View

Teutopolis CUSD #50 Families,

One of the responsibilities I take most seriously as Superintendent is keeping our community informed - clearly, honestly, and in real time - about decisions that affect our students, our schools, and the future of Teutopolis.

With that in mind, I’m writing to share an important new resource with you.

Today, Teutopolis Community Unit School District #50 is launching a public website designed to keep our community informed about upcoming capital improvement projects across the District, including the modernization of learning spaces in several of our buildings and campuses.

You can visit the site here: https://www.journeytwelve.com/clearview

This site will serve as a central, transparent hub for project information. As plans are finalized, work begins, and milestones are reached, the site will be updated in real time, so families and community members always have a clear view of what’s happening, where, and why.

Following this past summer’s improvements to the High School Cafeteria, our next efforts will take place at our Junior High School this summer. This phase includes the addition of several classrooms and a renovation of the existing restrooms. These updates are designed to support the thoughtful transition of our sixth grade students from the elementary campus, a move we believe will better align learning spaces, staffing, and student needs. Once completed, the District will be well positioned to carefully plan the next steps for a future renovation at the Grade School.

The School Board and District leadership are committed to a smooth, deliberate, and transparent process with long-term value in mind. These projects are about stewardship - of our facilities, our resources, and most importantly, of the trust our community places in its schools. We will continue to communicate openly as work progresses and welcome your engagement along the way.

Thank you for your continued support of our students, our staff, and the shared work of strengthening Teutopolis Schools and our Wooden Shoe community. I encourage you to visit the site, check back periodically, and stay connected as these improvements take shape.

Respectfully,

Matthew Sturgeon, Superintendent
