School Board Elections - April 6, 2027
About School Board Elections
School board elections are held during the Consolidated Election in April of each odd-numbered year. The Teutopolis Unit #50 Board of Education consists of seven members elected to serve four-year terms. Terms are staggered so that three or four seats are contested at each biennial election.
The next Consolidated Election will be held Tuesday, April 6, 2027.
2027 Election Information
Four seats on the Teutopolis Unit #50 Board of Education will be up for election in April 2027, each for a four-year term.
Candidates may begin circulating nominating petitions on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
The candidate filing period is Monday, November 16 through Monday, November 23, 2026. Candidate nomination papers for school board are filed with the appropriate county election authority.
Prospective candidates are encouraged to carefully review all filing requirements and deadlines with the Effingham County Clerk and the resources provided by the Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB) and Illinois State Board of Elections.
