Mrs. Jansen's kindergarten class had fun getting ready for the Kindergarten Halloween Parade.
Mrs. Chesnut’s reading class continues to use Moby Max to build their reading skills. They have once again met the reading challenge set by Moby Max and were rewarded with another $55 gift card to Amazon. Students decided to use their reward to help others. Therefore, they purchased a K’nex building set to donate to the Catholic Charities Christmas.

Last week, students in Mrs. Mellendorf's classroom painted a scary monster and completed a writing project about their monster. Once their final writing copy was complete, they then had to share their monster stories with classmates to work on reading, listening, and speaking skills.
Mrs. Wells' 5th grade math class completed a teamwork pumpkin investigation! They had to estimate and measure dimensions of a pumpkin including circumference, diameter, weight, and number of seeds inside a pumpkin.




Mrs. Meyer's 5th grade class had a mummy wrap during their Halloween Party last Friday!




TGS Kindergarten Halloween Parade 2021!
Mrs. Kinkelaar’s first graders did a fun STEAM activity during their Halloween Party today! Students had to make pumpkin towers out of pumpkin candy and cheese balls! The winning group’s tower was 12.5 inches tall!

Mrs. Kreke’s kindergarten class enjoyed a day full of Halloween fun!!


We have a T-T-Terrific Special Education Team!
In music this week, the third graders worked on playing different rhythms and learned about the form of a song. Since it was Halloween, they got to play with the song “Ghostbusters” and got surprised with glow stick drumsticks!




Mrs. Kreke’s kindergarten class learned about the bones in their hands this week! We finished the week making a Halloween skeleton hand! A sweet and salty treat for Mrs. Kreke’s little goblins!!’


4th Grade students have been learning about the legislative process and how to properly write letters to their legislators.



We have one sharp bunch on the Pre-K Team!

Mrs. Jansen’s Kindergarten class had fun learning about pumpkins. They estimated how many seeds the pumpkin had, estimated how much the pumpkin weighed, and estimated the circumference of the pumpkin by guessing how much yarn it would take to go around it.

Students in Mrs. Drees’ 3rd grade class made marble mazes in groups. It took teamwork to get the marble to navigate the maze. It was so much fun. The students pictured won the marble maze for their group.

TGS really appreciates kindergarten parents helping at kindergarten lunch recess. Kindergarten students pictured here are having fun while Ryan Jansen kicks balls to them.
Mrs. Willman's class filled their Marble Jar by making good choices and working hard at school. They voted and the class chose to bring their favorite stuffed animal to school! Their friends were by their side all day!
The fifth grade students extremely enjoyed dissecting owl pellets to see what owls like to eat.
