The rain and mud didn’t stop these first graders from having a great time today! They sure enjoyed their field trip to the pumpkin patch in Arthur!

We celebrated TGS students today by having a Fall Fun Run in the morning and snow cones in the afternoon. We are so proud of our students' hard work and respectful attitudes they display everyday at TGS!

The Teutopolis second graders visited the Decatur Scovill Zoo and Children's Museum. A special thanks to the chaperones and bus drivers for making our day enjoyable and safe.


Mrs. Ziegler's Preschool classes had an apple tasting activity. They sampled apples, cider, applesauce, juice, apple cider donuts, and apple pie. Then, they graphed their favorite way to eat apples. 🍎


Teutopolis Grade School enjoyed “The Star Lab”. Mrs Jamie Habing and Mrs Wendy Kreke discussed constellations, the earth, the sun and many other interesting facts.

Mrs. Kreke’s class took a trip to the Teutopolis Fire Station!



Mrs. Eckelberry's 4th graders had fun watching and learning how a chicken embryo grows! They took fertilized eggs and incubated them to hatch! Look how cute the baby chicks are! Some were even able to take the chicks home! Thank you to Effingham Farm Bureau Ag in the Class for providing the eggs, incubator, and activities to learn about chicken embryology! Thank you to our wonderful Tech Department for helping the students be able to watch LIVE at home so they would not miss anything!




Mrs. Bierman's class had a great morning at the Teutopolis Fire Station. A big thanks to the firefighters for teaching the kindergarteners about fire safety and giving us a tour of the fire station.




Mrs. Hoene's 2nd grade class made letters for local veterans who went on the Honor Flight to Washington D.C. The students' letters included many thanks for their service and also very patriotic pictures!

Mrs. Yager’s class had so much fun learning about Johnny Appleseed. Our class’s favorite apple was Granny Smith; we even made some applesauce to celebrate! 🍎

Mrs. Jansen's class had fun visiting the Sullivan Apple orchard.
They enjoyed looking at the bees, watching how they separate apples, and learning how to make apple cider.

Mrs. Kreke’s kindergarten class watched their butterfly change from caterpillar to butterfly!


Mrs. Ziegler's preschoolers loved the trip to Hartke’s Pumpkin Barn and the park! They saw lots of pumpkins and gourds.




TGS kindergarteners celebrated Grandparent's Day! They sang songs, recited a poem, gave their grandparents a tour of their classroom, and had some yummy treats. Grandparents are so very special!

Mrs. Willman's first graders celebrated International Dot Day. They read the story, The Dot and then worked as a team to create one big dot! The book talks about making your mark and celebrating all of your accomplishments big or small!



Mrs. Niebrugge's preschool classes visited Hartke's Pumpkins! The students loved the variety of pumpkins. There were so many interesting pumpkins to look at. Special thanks to Chris Hartke for sharing some pumpkins with the children!




Aiden Bloemer sent in a couple of monarch caterpillars for Mrs. Kreke's 5th grade homeroom to hatch.
