1st graders in Mrs. Kinkelaar’s class have been practicing their sums of 10 addition facts! Today they made lovely different ways to make 10 with conversation hearts! ❤️

Students in Mrs. Jansen's kindergarten class have been busy bundling groups of 100 and being paleontologist.

Thank you, Dr. Chris Weber, for speaking to our fourth graders. They enjoyed hearing about your job as an optometrist and learning more about parts of the eye.

First graders is Mrs. Mellendorf’s class spent the last two days learning about groundhogs and making predictions. These four students guessed that he would NOT see his shadow and they were happy to make the correct prediction! Bring on the spring weather! After a few more groundhog books and activities, students had to write about how they would wake up the groundhog if they were in charge. They then showed their bravery and read their writing in front of the class! Happy Groundhog Day!

Congratulations to Mrs. Wendt, our January Social Media Influencer. Thank you for sharing all the wonderful things happening in your classroom!

Mrs. Ziegler's preschool class is getting a head start on Valentine’s Day fun!

Sixth grade and second grade buddies enjoyed some time together learning and playing new games.

Mrs. Jansen's Kindergarten class has been learning about different types of weather. Students enjoyed making a tornado, volcano, snow, and thunder.

Students in Mrs. McClellan's class completed a team building activity and had an escape room! They had to find clues in the classroom and answer questions to win their prize! They had so much fun!

Mrs. Meyer’s classes were hoping for SNOW! So, they decided to draw a snowy scene instead! These projects are looking GREAT!!

Mrs. Wendt's class has been learning lots of new things in kindergarten. They have learned to read many new words and have been hunting for them in books! They have also learned to zip their own coats and are now learning to tie their shoes!

Mrs. Willman’s First Grade Class is “SNOW” much fun! This month, they had to build a snowman by being kind and following expectations! They built their snowman, and it’s fitting that their prize was to bring the snow inside by using shaving cream!

Congratulations to Ms. Will, our December Social Media Influencer. Thank you for sharing all the wonderful things happening in your classroom!

Mrs. Jansen’s kindergarten class enjoyed a visit from Santa and some Christmas games!

Once again, Elf Games was so much fun! We even got Santa in on the action! A big THANK YOU to Kelly Heuerman for organizing this fun event and to all the parent volunteers for coming in to have some fun with us!

Deputy Ritz and Deputy Dale made their first visit to TGS and were greeted by Santa!

Thank you TGS students and staff for all the fun hallway displays this holiday season. 4th graders took down their displays today before starting Christmas break and decided to donate them to some local nursing homes. Hopefully the residents will enjoy the displays as much as we did!

Mrs. Tipton’s Kindergarten class and Mrs. Siemer’s 3rd grade class enjoyed a game of Christmas bingo with their buddies. Each kindergarten student has been paired up with a 3rd grade student to get to know and do activities with throughout the school year.

The best Christmas gift you can give someone is spending time with them. Our 6th graders invited their grandparents to their classrooms to play games and spend quality time together.
"It came without ribbons, it came without tags. It came without packages, boxes, or bags."
"Maybe Christmas doesn't come from a store. Maybe Christmas perhaps means a little bit more."

The second grade students recently read a story about solar panels and solar energy. Tony and Traci Martin from Sonne Energy Solutions came to talk about how solar panels work. The students and teachers learned a lot. They are also the aunt and uncle of second grader, Charlie. Thank you for coming in!
