Mrs. Jansen’s kindergarten class enjoyed a visit from Santa and some Christmas games!

Once again, Elf Games was so much fun! We even got Santa in on the action! A big THANK YOU to Kelly Heuerman for organizing this fun event and to all the parent volunteers for coming in to have some fun with us!

Deputy Ritz and Deputy Dale made their first visit to TGS and were greeted by Santa!

Thank you TGS students and staff for all the fun hallway displays this holiday season. 4th graders took down their displays today before starting Christmas break and decided to donate them to some local nursing homes. Hopefully the residents will enjoy the displays as much as we did!

Mrs. Tipton’s Kindergarten class and Mrs. Siemer’s 3rd grade class enjoyed a game of Christmas bingo with their buddies. Each kindergarten student has been paired up with a 3rd grade student to get to know and do activities with throughout the school year.

The best Christmas gift you can give someone is spending time with them. Our 6th graders invited their grandparents to their classrooms to play games and spend quality time together.
"It came without ribbons, it came without tags. It came without packages, boxes, or bags."
"Maybe Christmas doesn't come from a store. Maybe Christmas perhaps means a little bit more."

The second grade students recently read a story about solar panels and solar energy. Tony and Traci Martin from Sonne Energy Solutions came to talk about how solar panels work. The students and teachers learned a lot. They are also the aunt and uncle of second grader, Charlie. Thank you for coming in!

Mrs. Kreke’s kindergarten class and Mrs. Schackmann’s 4th grade class worked together to make gingerbread houses. These buddy classes are ready for Santa to come!

Ms. Mette’s fourth graders worked with their buddies in Mrs. Jansen’s kindergarten class to decorate gingerbread houses. Merry Christmas!

Ms. Mette’s fourth graders finished reading Holes and enjoyed the movie today. It was extra special with book themed food donated by parents!

TGS Families,
Pictured are items in our lost and found. Please have your child claim any items belonging to them.
Please continue to label your child's clothing, jackets, lunch boxes, etc. so we can return them to the correct student.
Thank you!

Mrs. Tipton's kindergarten class had fun creating gingerbread houses and decorating them with lots of yummy candy. Earlier in the day, they made their own gingerbread man and put him in the oven. He popped out of the oven and they had to follow clues around the school to find him. It was an exciting day in kindergarten.

Mrs. Jansen’s class worked on a STEM Gingerbread project. These kindergarteners had fun working together to make a boat out of recycled items to help keep the Gingerbread man dry.

Pictured are items in our lost and found from the week of 11/27 - 12/1. Please have your child claim any items belonging to them by Friday, 12/8/23. All items not claimed will be taken to a non-profit organization. Please continue to label your child's clothing, jackets, lunch boxes, etc. so we can return them to the correct student.

Congratulations to Mrs. Siemer, our November Social Media Influencer. Thank you for sharing all the wonderful things happening in your classroom!

Love is in the air in Mrs. Siemer's 3rd grade classroom! These 3rd graders were busy filling each others stockings full of words of kindness!

Students in 5th grade have had the opportunity to participate in a "Lunch Book Club" with Mrs. Wells this school year. Students read the same books and meet at lunch to discuss the book with their classmates and Mrs. Wells. Currently, students in the book club are reading the book "The Running Dream." They are really enjoying the book so far!

Mrs. Kreke’s kindergarten class shared a Thanksgiving feast.

Thankful hands, thankful hearts, thankful friends. These first grade buddies in Mrs. Mellendorf's room are so thankful for their 5th grade buddies in Mrs. Wells’ room! Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Students in Mrs. Wells' and Mrs. Bushur's 5th-grade reading classes participated in a Thanksgiving Book Tasting today. Students had to bring in their favorite book, a short book summary, and a treat that represents the book. Students got to travel around the classroom "tasting" other student's book choices. They were then able to create a list of future books they may want to read! Happy Thanksgiving!
