A big thank you to everyone who supported our TGS Student Council apparel fundraiser! Your orders helped us raise funds that will go toward new recess equipment, sweet treats for students and staff, and other fun surprises throughout the year!
We also want to give a special shoutout to Sports Designs and Graphics for their partnership and generosity. They donated $5 for every item ordered back to our council.
Reminder: Fundraiser orders will be available for pickup in homeroom classrooms during Parent/Teacher Conferences on October 21st and 23rd.
You can grab your order when you come in to meet with teachers!

Buddy Day brought smiles to our 2nd and 5th graders! Students paired up to complete a Roll a Pumpkin challenge, mixing creativity, teamwork, and a whole lot of laughter.








Mrs. Bushue’s 2nd graders have been learning all about biomes! After researching different environments around the world, students created their own biome boxes to showcase what they learned. Great job, young scientists!
TGS kindergartners had an exciting visit to the T-Town Fire Station!

Exciting things are happening in Mrs. Eckelberry’s 4th-grade classroom! Students explored chicken embryology through a hands-on project and successfully hatched 8 chicks! A big thank you to Lynn Wolff and Agriculture in the Classroom for providing the materials that made this learning experience possible.
First grade had the best day at The Great Pumpkin Patch! So many smiles, pumpkins, and fall fun!





Welcome to the world of Secret Stories, superheroes! Mrs. Kreke’s class learned that letters aren’t just letters, they are undercover superheroes with secret powers! Last week, they uncovered the amazing powers of A, E, I, O, and U!

Last Friday was full of energy and excitement! Our K–2nd grade students had a blast rotating through stations with fun relay races, while our 3rd–6th graders got their competitive spirits going during the Fall Fun Run. The 1st Quarter TGS Student Council members surprised our staff with a Popcorn Bar in the teacher’s lounge! They’re poppin’ with appreciation for all the amazing things our staff do every day to make TGS such a wonderful place!





Fall Fun Day Reminder
Fall Fun Day will be held on Friday, September 26th from 1:00–3:00 p.m.
Students who wish to participate should have already turned in their permission slip and payment.
Students will not be allowed to stay for Fall Fun Day without a signed permission slip on file.
Dismissal Information (3:00 p.m.):
Parents/guardians should remain in their vehicles during pickup.
As cars pull into the North Circle Drive, drivers will provide the names of the student(s) they are picking up.
Staff will then radio for students to walk to their car.
For safety reasons, students will not be permitted to run directly to vehicles without checking out with staff.
We will have a clipboard and list organized by groups to check off students as they are dismissed.
Thank you for helping us keep dismissal safe and efficient. We’re looking forward to a fun afternoon!

Ms. Mette’s 4th graders are diving into the world of computer programming! Using block coding, they’re bringing robots to life, making them move, light up, and even talk. We love seeing our students use creativity and problem-solving to explore technology!
Our 4th grade scientists had a special visitor this week! Geologist Clint Beccue stopped by to share his knowledge, fascinating stories, and an incredible collection of rocks and fossils. Students loved getting a hands-on look at Earth’s treasures! A big thank you to Clint for inspiring our future geologists and to his wife, Jackie, for treating everyone with homemade rock candy.
Mrs. Tipton’s Kindergarteners and Ms. Buening’s 4th Grade Class had a very special day together. Our little learners lit up as they chatted about their favorite books, turned pages together, and built sweet friendships across grade levels. Watching our 4th graders lead with kindness and our kindergartners soak up every moment was PURE MAGIC!





Buddy Reading Time!
Mrs. Sandschafer's 4th grade students had a heartwarming visit with their kindergarten buddies from Mrs. Wendt's class! The 4th graders picked out picture books from our school library and spent quality time reading to their younger friends.
Smiles, stories, and new friendships were made. It’s what learning together is all about!

Kindergarten classes celebrated Grandparents Day!
It was such a special afternoon filled with hugs, smiles, and memories. Our students were so proud to share songs, stories, and activities with their grandparents and special guests. Thank you to all the grandparents who joined us. Your love and support mean the world to our students!

Mrs. Tarin’s class enjoyed their very first Read & Feed today! Students got comfy, dove into their favorite books, took AR tests, and snacked while they read. What a wonderful way to combine reading and fun!

Mrs. Kreke’s class took time to remember September 11th. Students learned about the meaning of the American flag and even created their own flags to take home.
