The TGS Student Council put their fundraising efforts to great use! Thanks to proceeds from their fall spirit wear fundraiser, they purchased $1,100 worth of brand-new recess equipment for our students to enjoy! Thank you to everyone who supported the fundraiser and helped make this possible!
The Kindergarten students in Mrs. Jansen's class had a blast creating their own constellations using marshmallows and toothpicks! Learning about the stars has never been so fun!

Shoutout to our amazing TGS Student Council! They raised $500 from Smencil sales to help purchase building materials for a crosswalk pavilion—a well-deserved addition for our dedicated crosswalk supervisors. Thank you to everyone who supported this fundraiser!
We are incredibly proud of our TGS Student Council for their generosity and leadership! They donated $1,200 to Valle Crucis School in North Carolina, which was impacted by Hurricane Helene this past fall. This donation was made possible through proceeds from our Fall Fun Run. Thanks to your support, the TGS Student Council raised $2,000 during our Movie Day event on February 14th! These funds were donated to Palisades Charter Elementary in California to help support them as they recover from the impact of the LA fires.
Sometimes, the weather doesn't cooperate, and we have to get creative with indoor recess! But no worries – we made the best of it this week with an obstacle course!

Our amazing 1st grade students had a blast this week in small groups with Mrs. Herboth, Mrs. Chesnut, and Mrs. Borries as they celebrated Read Across America! They even had the opportunity to share a story with our local heroes, Deputy Dale and Officer Ritz.
It's always a joy to see our students connecting with their community while developing a love for reading.
Biography Presentations in Ms. Mette’s Class!
This week, some of Ms. Mette’s 4th graders went above and beyond by dressing the part for their biography presentations! From famous historical figures to modern-day heroes, the students showcased their hard work, creativity, and dedication in a truly impressive way.

2nd Grade Animal Habitat Exploration!
This month, Mrs. Waldhoff’s 2nd grade class dove into the fascinating world of animal habitats! The students researched various habitats and then got creative by building their own models using shoe boxes!

Dental Health Fun with Mrs. Jeffries!
Today, our kindergarten classes had a special guest – Mrs. Jeffries! She visited to teach our little learners all about the importance of dental health.
From brushing techniques to the best foods for strong teeth, the kids had a blast while learning how to keep their smiles shining bright!
Our little learners had a blast exploring food and nutrition in their latest unit! From discovering the importance of healthy eating to getting hands-on in the kitchen, they learned and played. The grand finale? A delicious pizza party… made by the students themselves!
We love seeing our preschoolers engage in fun, interactive learning that fuels both their minds and creativity.
Today, we were lucky to have the amazing team from Land of Smiles visit TGS and give a fun and educational dental hygiene presentation to our Kindergarten through 4th-grade students!
From learning how to brush and floss properly to understanding the importance of keeping our teeth healthy, the kids had a blast while gaining important knowledge for a lifetime of smiles!
