The Gift that Keeps on Giving! Mrs. Chesnut donated her Amazon gift cards that she received from her generous students at Christmas time to purchase the Lane Walker book series for our TGS Library. Now, students will have these Outdoor Adventure books for years to come! Spreading kindness and the love for books is exciting!!

5th graders have been learning about the Revolutionary War. The pictures are of Taylor Hoene's hand sewn American Flag. Her project topic was Betsy Ross and she had a wonderful presentation with detailed research! She even taught the entire class how to create five-point stars just like the ones on the American Flag! Way to go Taylor!

Students in Mrs. Mellendorf's first-grade class enjoyed learning about President's Day. They read books and watched videos about the presidents, learned facts about the White House, and discussed what they could do if they were the president themselves. They had fun completing this White House activity where they chose someone to become their vice president and came up with a new law for our country/school. Look at these future leaders!!
