Mrs. Eckelberry's 4th graders had fun watching and learning how a chicken embryo grows! They took fertilized eggs and incubated them to hatch! Look how cute the baby chicks are! Some were even able to take the chicks home! Thank you to Effingham Farm Bureau Ag in the Class for providing the eggs, incubator, and activities to learn about chicken embryology! Thank you to our wonderful Tech Department for helping the students be able to watch LIVE at home so they would not miss anything!

Students in Mrs. Mellendorf's first grade classroom have been learning how to create a very detailed sentence. They discussed how some sentences can be boring or "BLAH" and how some sentences have great detail so they are considered to be a "WOW" sentence. Mrs. Jansen’s kindergarten class has been learning about the sun for the last couple of weeks. The class used thermometers and different colors of fabric to see which color the sun would make the hottest. They discovered that the black fabric was the hottest. They also used thermometers in different items. They used an ice cream sandwich, water, sand, and dirt to see how the sun affected each item.
