TGS students and staff are encouraged to wear blue and gold on Tuesday, March 15th to support the 7th grade TJHS volleyball girls playing for the state championship. Go Shoes!

Students recently celebrated the unique day of 2/2/22 so first graders completed time capsules! It may seem far away for these first graders, but they will be seniors on another unique day in the future, 3/3/33! The students in Mrs. Mellendorf's first grade class were very excited to bring these time capsules home to their parents!
I am encouraging all TGS students and staff to wear their blue and gold tomorrow to support the 7th grade volleyball team going to state!
Go Shoes!

Fourth graders were treated to presentation by Keith Dennis on the mechanics of an electric car! Thank you Keith for an electrifying presentation!

Fun with Dr. Seuss! High school students, Abigail Wortman, Alaina Helmink, and Jennifer Uthell, read Dr. Seuss books and did fun activities with Mrs. Jansen's kindergarten class.
Mrs. Repking's 4th grade ELA class has been giving how to speeches.

Mrs. Willman's class really enjoyed the Dr. Seuss books the EHS Student Council read to them. Thank you EHS Student Council for coming to celebrate Dr. Seuss week with kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade!

The first graders in Mrs. Willman's class loved getting to read Dr. Seuss books with their reading buddies!

First grade is always a little wacky, but yesterday was one for the books!

Mrs. Chesnut's 6th graders went all out to celebrate "The Cat in the Hat".

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss! Second graders celebrated by reading, relaxing, and snacking! Thank you to THS student council members for reading to the 2nd graders today.

We are celebrating Dr. Seuss Week at TGS. Today is Wacky Wednesday, and the west wing is definitely pretty wacky!

The TGS Fan Club showed great support for our Wooden Shoes at the 2A Flora Sectional - Semifinal #1 - Teutopolis vs Alton last night. Congratulations on the win THS!

The 5th and 6th grade band performed fabulously last night! Thank you Mrs. Orndorff and Ms. Brown for all you do, and thank you to all the families and community members who came out to support the band.

The Gift that Keeps on Giving!
Mrs. Chesnut donated her Amazon gift cards that she received from her generous students at Christmas time to purchase the Lane Walker book series for our TGS Library. Now, students will have these Outdoor Adventure books for years to come! Spreading kindness and the love for books is exciting!!

5th graders have been learning about the Revolutionary War. The pictures are of Taylor Hoene's hand sewn American Flag. Her project topic was Betsy Ross and she had a wonderful presentation with detailed research! She even taught the entire class how to create five-point stars just like the ones on the American Flag! Way to go Taylor!

Second grade classes celebrated 2-2-22 by wearing 2 wild socks, wearing tutus, and dressing like twins. They also did activities throughout the day.

Mrs. Kreke’s kindergarten class enjoys Two’s Day!!

Students in Mrs. Mellendorf's first-grade class enjoyed learning about President's Day. They read books and watched videos about the presidents, learned facts about the White House, and discussed what they could do if they were the president themselves. They had fun completing this White House activity where they chose someone to become their vice president and came up with a new law for our country/school. Look at these future leaders!!
