Kindergarten has been learning about fire safety this month. Today, they took a walk to the fire station. They had a great time and enjoyed the beautiful weather on their walk!
Fourth grade engineers designed and created drums to use for a class performance! The fun was hard to beat!

Mrs. McClellan's 1st grade class had apple tasting, apple treats, and did an experiment with apples to see if they would float. We found out that apples will float, but their seeds and stems will sink.
Eloise Feldhake shared her musical talent with her class today. She played the violin for Mrs. Drees’ class. It took a lot of practice to be able to play. Great job, Eloise.
Students in Mrs. Chesnut's class watched a "Coke Demonstration" that enabled them to visualize self-esteem as a process that is influenced by the messages received from significant others in their environment as well as their own self-talk. Afterwards, students completed an art project that had them focus on the positive - the real thing- their true essence.
Mrs. Kreke's kindergarten class celebrated Apple Day today!
Sixth graders studying the Old Stone Age, or Paleolithic Era, created cave paintings depicting religious ceremonies or events in a hunt as people during this time period would have done. Students painted using natural tools such as stone edges, twigs, grasses, deer antlers and other cleverly constructed utensils.
We are learning to read! Here in kindergarten, our super smart kiddos are starting to read books ALL BY THEMSELVES!!!! Awesome work kiddos!!!
Mrs. Jansen's 2nd graders released four monarch butterflies after watching and learning about the stages of metamorphosis in their classroom.
Mrs. Dress's class read The Dot, and the students were asked to create something with Dot Candy and toothpicks. This group made a circus.
Miss Mette’s 4th graders are learning about the three types of rocks in science class.
Miss Mette was awarded a grant from The Meemic Foundation to purchase $75 worth of school supplies from Office Depot.
Students in Mrs. Probst’s class have been learning about apples. They enjoyed trying different apple treats. They sampled apple juice, apple cider, applesauce, and apple slices with caramel.
The First Day of School for K-12th grade is Friday, August 14th. Due to COVID-19, parents will not be allowed in TGS to walk their children to the classrooms. 1st-6th grade students will report to the gym and will be assisted by TGS staff to find their classrooms and help with transitions. Kindergarten teachers have a plan for the first day to help with transitions which will be shared at Kindergarten Orientation on the Lawn,Tuesday, August 11 at 6:00pm.
