Today, we were lucky to have the amazing team from Land of Smiles visit TGS and give a fun and educational dental hygiene presentation to our Kindergarten through 4th-grade students!
From learning how to brush and floss properly to understanding the importance of keeping our teeth healthy, the kids had a blast while gaining important knowledge for a lifetime of smiles!

🚲 Teutopolis Grade School 3rd Graders are Reading for Bikes! 🚲
Our 3rd-grade students are having a blast participating in the Books for Bikes program through the Illinois Masonic Lodge! Each time they read a book and pass their AR test, they earn a ticket for a chance to win a bike and a helmet!
This fun and motivating program is helping our students build strong reading habits while giving them the chance to win an awesome prize. The drawing for the bike will take place in March, and it's been an exciting 3rd-quarter journey watching them read so many books.

🧸 Polar Bear Den Challenge in Mrs. Drees' Class! 🐻❄️
Mrs. Drees' creative 3rd grade students took on the challenge of building polar bear dens using marshmallows and toothpicks! ⏰ With a time limit and some imagination, everyone worked together to construct their own unique dens—and guess what? They all succeeded! 👏
It was a great hands-on way to learn about teamwork, problem-solving, and the habitats of polar bears. We couldn't be more proud of our little architects! 🏗️✨

For the past few weeks, our first-grade students have been diving into contractions with hands-on learning! Mrs. Repking and Mrs. Willman’s classrooms were transformed into operating rooms where our little “doctors” performed contraction surgery to learn all about combining words! 💡📝

Preschool students kept cozy during the winter with these enjoyable activities.
Sixth-grade engineers designed and built structures capable of withstanding severe flooding. It was both fun and challenging!
As fourth graders started a science unit on the properties of light and vision, they took a walk to Repking Eye Care to gain insights from the experts.
Mrs. Jansen's kindergarten class had a blast exploring weather! They had fun creating tornadoes, volcanoes, lightning, thunder, and even making snow.
