The kindergarten classes enjoyed pet day! Thanks to our parents and friends for bringing in pets for us to see!

Mrs. Wells' 5th grade writing classes have been writing to pen pals all year. Her first writing class wrote to students from Leland, IL, and her second class wrote to students in West Chester, Pennsylvania. This week students were able to have a video call with their pals and see the face of the students they have been writing to all year!

Mrs. Wendt's kindergarten class earned some new shoestrings for mastering tying their shoes!

Mrs. Kreke’s kindergarten class enjoys a camping day at TGS! Tents, S’mores, camping BINGO, and camp fire stories! It was a fun and exciting day!

Bubble Day was a hit in first grade! We went outside to blow bubbles on this windy day, had a bubble gum blowing contest in our room, and even worked on some assignments in the shape of a large bubble.

Teacher Appreciation spotlight day 4:
Second-grade teachers feel blessed to teach at TGS because we have the best students, parents, and staff to work with!

Appreciation spotlight day 3:
💜We appreciate all of our paraprofessionals and bus drivers! Thanks for aiding in educating our students and driving them to and from school safely.

The second grade students had a wonderful time on their field trip! They visited the Ballard Nature Center in the morning and the Repking Dairy Farm in the afternoon. Thank you to all who helped make this a great field trip!

Teacher Appreciation Spotlight Day 2:
1st Grade Team - “One of our favorite things about teaching is seeing our students’ growth from the beginning of the year to the end of the year. We love sharing ideas with each other and sharing success stories about our students. First grade rocks!”
Mrs. Drees and her student teacher this fall, Miss Koester … “We love our great students, supportive parents, and watching the kids grow from August to May!”

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! We want to spotlight some of our teachers this week.
💛 Our kindergarten crew says these are the top 5 reasons they love teaching:
1. Our Students
2. Our Kindergarten Team and TGS Staff
3. The funny stories we hear
4. The supportive parents and community
5. Watching our students grow and learn
💜 Mrs. Orndorff has been teaching 19 years in Unit 50.
She loves being one of the few teachers that gets to watch students grow up from 5th grade to senior year, and seeing the great musicians they turn out to be!

The TGS kindergarten play was fantastic!
