NHS Virtual Assemblies

National Honor Society works to promote school spirit and community giving throughout the school year. This year our assemblies are virtual, but they are still fun! Participants gathered in the gym while the student body watched a livestream in their 8th period classrooms. The poms and cheerleaders performed our school song, lifting everyone's spirits. Our holiday assembly included a competition amongst the grade levels in a variety of games and relays. The sophomore class reigned supreme taking the title from the seniors, the Halloween virtual assembly winners. Students also made holiday cards for area nursing home residents and donated money for supplies. We were able to deliver cards and $50 for supplies for residents to each of the following facilities: Villas of Hollybrook, Evergreen, and Lavender Ridge. NHS looks forward to finding more ways to serve our school and community.
