Mrs. Jansen's Kindergarten class has been learning about different types of weather. Students enjoyed making a tornado, volcano, snow, and thunder.

Students in Mrs. McClellan's class completed a team building activity and had an escape room! They had to find clues in the classroom and answer questions to win their prize! They had so much fun!

Mrs. Meyer’s classes were hoping for SNOW! So, they decided to draw a snowy scene instead! These projects are looking GREAT!!

Mrs. Wendt's class has been learning lots of new things in kindergarten. They have learned to read many new words and have been hunting for them in books! They have also learned to zip their own coats and are now learning to tie their shoes!

Mrs. Willman’s First Grade Class is “SNOW” much fun! This month, they had to build a snowman by being kind and following expectations! They built their snowman, and it’s fitting that their prize was to bring the snow inside by using shaving cream!
Congratulations to Ms. Will, our December Social Media Influencer. Thank you for sharing all the wonderful things happening in your classroom!

Mrs. Jansen’s kindergarten class enjoyed a visit from Santa and some Christmas games!

Once again, Elf Games was so much fun! We even got Santa in on the action! A big THANK YOU to Kelly Heuerman for organizing this fun event and to all the parent volunteers for coming in to have some fun with us!

Deputy Ritz and Deputy Dale made their first visit to TGS and were greeted by Santa!

Thank you TGS students and staff for all the fun hallway displays this holiday season. 4th graders took down their displays today before starting Christmas break and decided to donate them to some local nursing homes. Hopefully the residents will enjoy the displays as much as we did!

Mrs. Tipton’s Kindergarten class and Mrs. Siemer’s 3rd grade class enjoyed a game of Christmas bingo with their buddies. Each kindergarten student has been paired up with a 3rd grade student to get to know and do activities with throughout the school year.

The best Christmas gift you can give someone is spending time with them. Our 6th graders invited their grandparents to their classrooms to play games and spend quality time together.
"It came without ribbons, it came without tags. It came without packages, boxes, or bags."
"Maybe Christmas doesn't come from a store. Maybe Christmas perhaps means a little bit more."

The second grade students recently read a story about solar panels and solar energy. Tony and Traci Martin from Sonne Energy Solutions came to talk about how solar panels work. The students and teachers learned a lot. They are also the aunt and uncle of second grader, Charlie. Thank you for coming in!

Mrs. Kreke’s kindergarten class and Mrs. Schackmann’s 4th grade class worked together to make gingerbread houses. These buddy classes are ready for Santa to come!
Ms. Mette’s fourth graders worked with their buddies in Mrs. Jansen’s kindergarten class to decorate gingerbread houses. Merry Christmas!

Ms. Mette’s fourth graders finished reading Holes and enjoyed the movie today. It was extra special with book themed food donated by parents!

TGS Families,

Please continue to label your child's clothing, jackets, lunch boxes, etc. so we can return them to the correct student.
Thank you!
Mrs. Tipton's kindergarten class had fun creating gingerbread houses and decorating them with lots of yummy candy. Earlier in the day, they made their own gingerbread man and put him in the oven. He popped out of the oven and they had to follow clues around the school to find him. It was an exciting day in kindergarten.

Mrs. Jansen’s class worked on a STEM Gingerbread project. These kindergarteners had fun working together to make a boat out of recycled items to help keep the Gingerbread man dry.

Pictured are items in our lost and found from the week of 11/27 - 12/1. Please have your child claim any items belonging to them by Friday, 12/8/23.
