
Mrs. Willman’s first grade class has been learning about Living and Non-Living things. They took a nature walk around the school. They had to find different items and mark if they were living or non-living!



Second grade students in 2Y and 2B kicked off their apple unit with some sensory fun! They made apple pie play dough and learned about sequential order to follow the play dough recipe.


In STEAM class, kindergartens explored push and pull forces in order to save Tiny Town from a boulder at the top of the mountain! They worked together to place pins that acted as poles to change the direction of the boulder and guide it safely into a dump truck below. It's exciting to solve problems!


Ms. Kreke's 1st grade class went on a living and nonliving scavenger hunt!



Mrs. Kreke’s kindergarten class had a busy first full week of school. They learned all about the sun and what it does for us and the earth! The students became scientist and conducted an experiment with crayons to see if the sun would melt them! It only took 2 hours for the the crayons to melt on Friday! Mrs. Kreke's class was also rewarded with popsicles for filling up their good behavior jar!



In Mrs. Wakefield's STEAM classes, the first groups of K-6th graders were introduced to the Engineering Design Process. K-1 followed the steps to build bridges, while 2nd-6th graders created back scratchers!


Sixth grade students had fun while practicing their speaking and listening skills! Putting puzzles together can be tricky when you are blindfolded!




Ms. Mette’s “monkeys” had a great first full day “hanging out” in 4th grade at TGS.




Thank you to Laurie Drees, Mary Jo Kreke, Jenna Kremer, and Jamie Herboth for hosting summer school this year. Looks like everyone had a fun learning experience!




Mrs. Bushue’s class would like to thank their buddies from Mrs. Chesnut’s class for their memory books! The 6th graders made books with pictures and descriptions of the activities they did all year. Thank you!


Kindergarten students enjoyed the petting zoo today! Thanks to everyone who brought their animals in for us to see. We appreciate you taking the time to make our petting zoo so much FUN! The children loved it.

Meteorologist Seth Bohnoff from Channel 3 News visited the second grade classes, and taught them some facts about wild weather!


Mrs. Willman and Mrs. Bushur’s 1st and 5th grade buddies met for the last time today! They played a game of kickball, did sidewalk chalk, and played on the playground together. This has been the best experience for both grade levels






Mrs. Drees’ class had some visitors come to the classroom in April and May. Several parents came in to talk about their jobs. The kids enjoyed the presentations.


TGS preschoolers had a fantastic time on their last field trip of the year! Harmony Playground is always a fun way to spend the day!




Mrs. Jansen's kindergarten class has been learning about habitats. Today, students worked together to recreate some animal habitats.

Mrs. Tipton's Kindergarten class got to experience the life cycle of a butterfly the past two weeks. They watched their caterpillars grow, create a chrysalis, and emerge as beautiful butterflies. They were able to release them into the wild today. It was a fun and exciting experience!



Second grade enjoyed their field trip to The Ballard Nature Center. They went on a nature walk and learned a lot about animals and their habitats.
