Preschool students kept cozy during the winter with these enjoyable activities.

Sixth-grade engineers designed and built structures capable of withstanding severe flooding. It was both fun and challenging!

As fourth graders started a science unit on the properties of light and vision, they took a walk to Repking Eye Care to gain insights from the experts.

Mrs. Jansen's kindergarten class had a blast exploring weather! They had fun creating tornadoes, volcanoes, lightning, thunder, and even making snow.

Tony and Traci Martin, parents of Bodhi Martin, talked to the second grade students about solar power. They even brought in a solar panel. They answered many questions about solar power and the students learned so much!

Students in Mrs. McClellan's 1st grade classroom worked together to find their way out of an Arctic Animal Escape Room! They had to search for clues, unscramble words, and answer questions to earn the prize!

The 1st and 5th grade buddies had a fun and creative time together! They started by working on directed drawings, and then used watercolor paints to bring their creations to life. Once their paintings were complete, they challenged other buddy groups to a winter-themed word search, adding a little friendly competition to the day!

Each year, the Teutopolis School District and the Department of Early Childhood conduct Preschool Round Up for children from two to five years of age. FREE developmental screenings are offered to give parents information on how their child is developing in the areas of speech, language, concepts and motor skills.
Vision and hearing screenings are also provided.
This year, Preschool Round Up will be held at the Sister Ethelbert Center, 110 North Garrett Street, Teutopolis, Illinois on Monday, February 10th, Tuesday, February 11th, and Wednesday, February 12th, 2025. Parents should call Amy Thoele at 217-857-3232 for an appointment or to find out more information
regarding the preschool program. There is no charge for the screening. The screening will last approximately one hour and a signed parent/guardian permission is required.
This screening is REQUIRED for all children who would like to enroll in the Teutopolis School District’s tuition-based preschool program the following school year.
There will be a separate screening for incoming kindergarten students in March.

We will be serving the lunches for January 6th-8th on Wednesday-Friday this week at TGS.

Students in Mrs. McClellan's first grade class have been enjoying all things Christmas! They learned about the dreidels in Israel and other traditions from around the world. Students made yummy Christmas treats, enjoyed hot chocolate and cookies while watching The Polar Express, and created sleighs to see how many presents they could carry! The winning sleigh held over 200 presents!

First graders have enjoyed some Holiday Magic these last few weeks while at school. Santa delivered a box full of silver bells from the North Pole during our Polar Express week. Then, during Christmas week, they received letters from the elves themselves! Here are a few with their letters and bells! Merry Christmas!

Ms. Kreke’s 2nd grade class celebrated Christmas with making Christmas trees, reindeer, and having a Gingerales drink party!

What an amazing time we had bringing Whoville to life at TGS! Students and teachers alike dressed up in their finest Grinch-inspired costumes, with the Grinch himself even making a special appearance!

The buddies in 3S and 6H worked together to create a holiday wreath all while wearing their Christmas Vacation attire! The Christmas spirit is in full swing at TGS!
