Mrs. Repking's 1st grade class wrapped up their election unit today using the book “Duck for President” by Doreen Cronin!
They spent last week discussing what makes a good leader and character traits of both candidates (Duck and Farmer Brown). Then, they did an opinion writing on what makes each candidate a good leader to run the farm.
After some very persuasive, civil discussions, the ballots were cast today!
It was a VERY tight race, but by ONE vote, Duck won!!!

Thank you to the Teutopolis and St. Francis Home Community Education Organization for making and providing bookmarks to TGS students!

Mrs. Repking’s first graders joined their 4th grade buddies in Mrs. Sandschafer’s classroom for a fun STEAM project!
