The Effingham County Home and Community Education Extension recycles Christmas cards and transforms them into beautiful occasional bookmarks; Christmas included! Mrs. Nice and Mrs. Hotze are excited to allow the students at TGS to choose one of these 600 bookmarks during this holiday season!
If you have Christmas cards or any occasional cards that you would like to recycle, please send the front cover of the card to Teutopolis Grade School. We will have a separate "Card Box" in the TGS Recycling Area (located near the office) for these donations.
You can also donate new cards (Christmas or any occasion) that the Extension office will then forward to the Veterans' Homes in Illinois.
In addition, this group donated school supplies to TGS; notebooks, bookbags, glue, crayons, etc.
A big, "THANK YOU" to The Effingham County Home and Community Education Extension for all you do for our community and surrounding communities!

In Tech class, 1st graders typed Christmas messages for local residents in nursing homes. On their iPads, they typed the lyrics of their favorite Christmas song in a Google Doc. Then, they practiced changing the color, size, and style of font. Way to spread Christmas cheer, 1st graders!
