
Kindergarten students visited the Teutopolis State Bank and the Teutopolis Post Office! They learned how each operates, and the students mailed some letters! Thank you to both places! They will be watching their mailboxes!

The Effingham Public Library has paired with Teutopolis Grade School this year by donating their time and resources to encourage the 6th grade to experience quality literature. As a thank you, the 6th grade Rebecca Caudill Book Club donated a gift card to Mrs. Funneman for her time as well as $20 to the Effingham Public Library for their support.

For sixth graders, achieving reading goals = field trip to Wessel's! 6C had a wonderful trip!


Wooden Shoes defeat Paris 10-6. After the game the seniors were honored. Tyler Runde, Brayden Will, Clint Weber, and Dawson Smith. Thank you for your dedication to Teutopolis baseball and all the awesome memories over the past 4 years. Good luck in the postseason!


Mrs. Probst's first graders showed off their reading skills by reading to the sixth graders and playing Sight Word Bingo.

T-Town boys track places 6th overall at the Shelbyville open. Highlights were Joe Kingery breaking his own school record with a throw of 180’11”. As of today that is the second furthest throw in the state regardless of class and 1st in 1a. cont..

TGS sixth grade students had a great day for their historical walking tour of our village.


Mrs. Yager’s & Mrs. Bushue’s classes wrote letters to two of our local veterans who recently traveled on the Honor Flight. Thank you to all our veterans, and to Mr. Gillum who shared his past honor flight experience with the children.


The Kindergarten classes took their singing talents to the assisted living and ARC buildings! They sang several songs and even sang their ABC’s backwards!



4x200 relay 2nd Allison Will, Kaitlyn Schumacher, Rebecca Habing, & Julia Hardiek. Morgan Mette 1st in the 400, and Jessica Runde 1st in the mile & 2nd in the 800. Awesome Job Coach Bower, Coach Hoene, and girls.

Congrats to the Teutopolis Girls Track Team. They won the Newton Sectional. State qualifiers: Claire Bushur shot & discus 1st, Micah McWhorter & Isabelle Hemmen pole vault 1st & 2nd, 4x800 & 4x400 relay 1st: Kaitlyn Schumacher,Jessica Runde, Rebecca Habing, & Morgan Mette.


Varsity and JV softball vs Robinson and Altamont have been cancelled for today. The Altamont game has been rescheduled for Monday, May 13 at Altamont at 4:30. This will be a varsity game only.

Varsity baseball vs. Williamsville on Friday, May 10 will now start at 6:00 pm.

Kindergarten students sang for the residents at several area nursing homes on Wednesday, May 8! They had fun and sang with great expression!!!

Mrs. Habing's 6th graders want to thank the TEF for the classroom greenhouse and grow light. Each of the students in her science classes got to take home a cherry tomato plant grown in the greenhouse this spring!


Students in Mrs. Kinkelaar's 1st grade class are experts on informative writing! Each student wrote their very own nonfiction book. They each chose their own topic and did research. These young writers are so proud of their finished products!
