Mrs. Ziegler's Preschool Class started their dinosaur unit! A couple of the students are creating their favorite dinosaurs with Play-Doh and pasta!

Congratulations to Sam Kingery. Sam was 1 of 7 players named to the All Section Team from the Class 1A Effingham Scholar Bowl Sectional. Sam will automatically be considered for the All State team later this month.


SHOUT OUT from Coach Reeder and the Boys Basketball Team and families to the Wooden Shoe Fan(s) who inspired them with the posters in their yard. Many folks are asking who the mystery Fan(s) were.....just passing along a BIG THANKS !! We LOVE the SHOES!

Couldn't be more proud of this group of young men and their coaches. They achieved beyond expectations all season long. Nashville defeats the Shoes in the supersectional 41-28.


We've played 3 quarters and Nashville leads 29-18.

First graders are researching topics using the Google kids search engine: Kiddle. Soon they will be writing their very own nonfiction books!

First Grade students in Mrs. Mellendorf’s class are improving their reading skills by working on Readers Theater scripts. This particular group is working on the story “Put Me in the Zoo” while two other groups worked on the stories “Ten Apples Up on Top” and “Green Eggs and Ham” by Dr. Seuss. We sure loved Read Across America Week!

Mrs. Yager’s class enjoyed making oobleck to celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday! Oobleck is based off of his book Bartholomew and the Oobleck.


High school students Tory Tensen, Aubrey Collins, and Emma Ruholl read a story, prepared an activity and snack for the kindergarten students in honor of Dr. Seuss.
