THS seniors, this is just a friendly reminder that the Lake Land foundation scholarship is due February 1st!!

From School Nurse:
Parents and or Guardians of Unit #50 students,
As you may already know, proper hand hygiene is important in decreasing communicable illness. Please encourage your student(s) to wash his/her hands after using the restroom and before eating. Hand sanitizer stations are available for student use, outside the cafeteria entrances. With that being said, I would also like to review the school policy for when students must be excluded from school, as well as when they may return, following illness.
Fever
-Any student with fever may not return to school until they have been fever free (below 100 degrees Fahrenheit) for 24 hours, without the assistance of Tylenol, Ibuprofen, etc.
Vomiting/Diarrhea
-Any student exhibiting symptoms of vomiting or diarrhea, with or without fever, must stay home or be sent home from school. The student may return to school 24 hours after symptoms subside.
**The only exception to this rule is students who have a medical diagnosis that is not considered contagious. **
Strep Throat
-A student with strep throat may return to school after they have been on antibiotic treatment for at least 24 hours and are fever free.
If you have any questions regarding the above, or are not sure if your student should attend school, please feel free to contact me. Thank you so much for your help in keeping our students healthy!
