After reading about The Great Wall of China, Mrs. Chesnut's sixth graders built their own Great Wall out of sugar cubes. All of the wall had to be assembled using chopsticks, instead of their hands. When their wall was finished, students placed a lego man on the walkway to signify they had fortified their region and were ready to protect the people of China!

Mrs. Habing's 6th grade social studies class is currently studying Ancient China. After learning about the Terra-Cotta Army surrounding Emperor Shihuangdi's tomb, they took an interactive field trip to the historical site. They could 'walk' through the army using a virtual reality tour developed last year. The students saw how each soldier was unique and located the well site that lead archaeologists to the famous discovery.
