Basketball Final: Lady Shoes win over the Newton Lady Eagles 68-41. Olivia Niemerg led the Shoes with 15 points, Ciara Roepke had 14 points, and Claire Bushur had 12 points. GO SHOES!

Mrs. Probst’s first graders performed for the preschoolers with their homemade instruments after reading the story “Beth and the Band”. The Preschool students were a great audience!
Fourth graders are studying the branches of the government, and Mrs. Apke shared her experience of a trip to the U.S. Supreme Court Building this summer! Thank you Mrs. Apke for sharing your time and answering our questions about the judicial branch!

Kindergarten classes enjoy baking bread during their Little Red Hen Unit.
The kindergarten students are keeping the kindness going! They treated the office staff to some of the delicious banana bread they baked in class!

Wednesday was National Kindness Day and Mrs. Kreke’s students shared their time with the first grade students in Mrs. Probst’s room. Fifth grade students helped first graders write a thank you note and create a craft. Thanks for choosing kindness!

Congratulations to Mitchel Hemmen. He signed his letter of intent to play baseball at John A. Logan Community College. Mitchel is the son of Jeff and Kayla Hemmen.

Our THS Media Center was packed with students celebrating World Kindness Day! TGS 3rd and 4th grade students read kindness books to THS students. In return, THS students presented grade school students with "kindmarks" and discussed the meaning of kindness.

American Education Week presents us with an opportunity to celebrate education and honor individuals who are making a difference in ensuring that every child receives a quality education. The weeklong celebration features a special observance each day of the week.
They include:
Monday - Wake up your brain!
- Students may wear their pajamas to school!
Tuesday - Hats off to education!!!
- Students may wear their favorite hats to school!
Work-out Wednesday - Working out our Brains and our Bodies!
- Students wear your workout clothing, and keep stretching your brain to help it grow!
Team Spirit Thursday - Give a cheer for education!!
- Students wear your blue and gold.
Friday: No School!

After completing research on Ancient Egypt, Mrs. Chesnut's Social Studies students reported their information to other students in the class.
