Wednesday was National Kindness Day and Mrs. Kreke’s students shared their time with the first grade students in Mrs. Probst’s room. Fifth grade students helped first graders write a thank you note and create a craft. Thanks for choosing kindness!

Mrs. Bushur’s 5th grade class and Mrs. Kinkelaar’s 1st grade class celebrated World Kindness Day together!

Congratulations to Mitchel Hemmen. He signed his letter of intent to play baseball at John A. Logan Community College. Mitchel is the son of Jeff and Kayla Hemmen.


Our THS Media Center was packed with students celebrating World Kindness Day! TGS 3rd and 4th grade students read kindness books to THS students. In return, THS students presented grade school students with "kindmarks" and discussed the meaning of kindness.




It’s World Kindness Day! Mrs. Nice arranged for fourth graders to read stories centered around kindness to high school students this afternoon.

American Education Week!

American Education Week presents us with an opportunity to celebrate education and honor individuals who are making a difference in ensuring that every child receives a quality education. The weeklong celebration features a special observance each day of the week.
They include:
Monday - Wake up your brain!
- Students may wear their pajamas to school!
Tuesday - Hats off to education!!!
- Students may wear their favorite hats to school!
Work-out Wednesday - Working out our Brains and our Bodies!
- Students wear your workout clothing, and keep stretching your brain to help it grow!
Team Spirit Thursday - Give a cheer for education!!
- Students wear your blue and gold.
Friday: No School!

Mrs. Kinkelaar's third grade students LOVE their new classroom books donated by TEF! Thank you for supporting us and our love of reading!!!


After completing research on Ancient Egypt, Mrs. Chesnut's Social Studies students reported their information to other students in the class.





Teutopolis State Bank provided matching funds up to $1,000 for the Spaghetti Supper. We greatly thank TSB for their continued generosity and support! Pictured left to right: Jerry Runde, Marlene Hoene, Ted Helmink (TEF President), and Laura Schumacher.


There will be no school in the Teutopolis School District for Tuesday, November 12 due to inclement weather and treacherous road conditions.

School Cancellation

Emily Esker was the winner of the TEF playhouse raffle! TEF would like to thank the Industrial Arts class for donating their time and craftsmanship in construction and all those who participated in the raffle. The Esker children were very excited as TEF President, Ted Helmink, delivered their new playhouse!


Thank you to some of our local veterans for sharing their time with our fifth grade students on Friday. Happy Veterans Day!

Mrs Chesnut’s 6th grade homeroom received third place for student attendance at the TEF Spaghetti Supper and won a books from the book fair donated by TEF. Since the TGS word of the month is CONSIDERATE, Mrs. Chesnut’s homeroom put this word into action and give the books to Mrs. Apple’s homeroom to help build their classroom library!
A big thank you to the TEF and to Mrs Chesnut’s homeroom for being examples for us all!


Thank you to our Friends at Farmweld for purchasing books for our classroom teachers! Also, a big thank you to our parents, students, and entire community for supporting our TGS Arctic Adventure Book Fair!
