Congratulations to the FFA Soil Judging team! On Thursday, October 10, the team went to Marshall, Illinois and earned 1st place in the Soil Judging and Land Use competition. The team will compete on Oct. 22 at the State Soil competition at Black Hawk East College.

Mrs. Jansen's students have been learning about the sun. Using thermometers, they checked the temperature before they put a container of sand, water, and an ice cream sandwich in the sun. Then they checked the temperature after the items had been in the sun for 3 hours. Wow, they had fun learning about the sun's power!
The Lady Shoes golf team placed 7th at the IHSA Regional. Averie Bushue placed 3rd overall with a score of 79. Averie advanced to the Mt. Carmel sectional on Monday. Congratulations Averie!

Preschool students took a nature walk yesterday! They found leaves, sticks, acorns, and buckeyes.

These kiddos had a wonderful time on the first grade field trip today. They visited The Great Pumpkin Patch in Arthur, IL.
Mad Science is presenting Up, Up, and Away to our 4th, 5th and 6th grade students today!


Mrs. Habing’s 6th graders enjoyed rolling ‘electrons’ to find the ‘nucleus’ in science today. Several also represented famous scientists in history who made advancements on the understanding of the atom.


Kindergarten students had a great day at the apple orchard!
