First grade students in Mrs. Mellendorf’s class have been discussing ways to be a “Bucket Filler” instead of a “Bucket Dipper” in their daily actions and behaviors. They already filled the bucket in their classroom with cotton balls and, therefore, were rewarded with a “Stuffed Animal Day” at school.

The first grade students are trying out their new sensory floor path and loving it!

THS Cross Country meet at Newton has been cancelled for tomorrow (9-12).

TGS second graders received caterpillars from the University of Illinois extension center and released their butterflies today!


Mrs. Bierman's class is enjoying playing different letter games with their parachute!


These first graders are "diving" into the school year with nothing but smiles and a growth mindset! It's going to be a fun year!

Mrs. Drees read the book The Dot to her class, and then they worked in groups to see what they could create with “dots.”
