Will a pumpkin sink or float? During our science lesson this morning, Mrs. Bierman's kindergarten class was surprised to find out that our small, medium, and large pumpkins all floated in the water.

Lisa Zumbahlen from Ag in the Classroom read the book “Jack’s Pumpkin” to the first grade students. They then created their own pumpkins! Thanks Lisa, so much fun!
Mrs. Kinkelaar's third grade class would like to thank Beth and Chris Hartke for helping their classroom look festive this Fall season! Each student received a pumpkin to paint from their very own Hartke Pumpkin Patch. Their generosity is so much appreciated!

A big thank you goes out to Roepke Painting! When the American Flag became hung up on the top of the pole Tuesday afternoon at TGS, Jason Roepke (pictured) brought out the truck with a boom to free the flag.

Preschool students have been studying apples and concluded the unit with tasting things made from apples. They had applesauce, apple butter, apple pie, apple cider, and apple juice. Then they graphed their favorites on a chart.
Reminder: No school Friday, October 5 and Monday, October 8.
The kindergarten classes had a great time visiting the fire station today. We learned all about fire safety, the fireman's gear, and fire trucks. Each student enjoyed trying on the fireproof coat and sitting in the firetruck. We even saw the inside of the ambulance. We would like to thank everyone who helped make our trip a success!
