
We have a large student section at tonight's Pink Out volleyball game. The Lady Shoes are playing St. Anthony.


Mrs. Chojnicki's students are magically transforming those tricky plural nouns.

Kindergarten had a great field trip to the Sullivan Apple Orchard. They toured the orchard, picked apples, learned how they make apple cider, and enjoyed apple donuts. It was a wonderful day!

The preschool kids had fun seeing the large variety of pumpkins at Hartke’s Pumpkin Farm.

Ms. Apple's ELA class completes their study on plastic waist and the environment by using VR headsets to tour the New York Recycle Center and Landfill, trying out paper straws and cups to see how they compare to their less environmentally-friendly plastic counterpart, and sharing solutions in small group and whole class discussions comparing the pros and cons of each solution from environmental impact to cost. Then, using their learning, they will be forming their own conclusions in a written response.


Local students met with Governor Rauner in Effingham yesterday to discuss childhood cancer. Included in the group were Teutopolis students Kinley Briggs and Elizabeth Weidner.

The best kind of test is taste testing! First graders are tasting apples during our visit with Lisa Zumbahlen from AG in the Classroom.

Shoes win 6-1 and advance to the IESA state tournament in East Peoria next Friday and Saturday. They play Friday at 2:30.

Windsor/Stew-Stras gets a run with some aggressive base running and ties the game 1-1 after 6 innings.

James Niebrugge drives in a run, and the Shoes take a 1-0 lead in the top of the 6th.

Still no score after five innings.

Shoes throw out another baserunner. We are still scoreless after 4.
