
Two students from THS pulled weeds, swept up dirt ,and planted flowers by the unit office for graduation this weekend.


Mrs. Mapes already misses her seniors. They finished strong this year, ultimately presenting their findings from a survey project they conducted in Composition II.





THS Drama Club presents How to Survive Being in a Shakespeare Play by Don Zolidis. These students worked so hard on this performance and enjoyed making it come to life. THS biology students working on a lab after their DNA unit. They used several different techniques to form their own DNA strands from their cheek cells.

THS Anatomy & Physiology students did cat dissections 4th quarter after studying each of our systems throughout the year.

THS biology students doing dissections after learning about animal systems. They were able to dissect up to 10 different species. Always a class favorite!

The THS Student Council would also like to thank everyone who supported the blood drives this year. It was our most successful year to date!


The THS Marching Band and Pomerettes performed on Sunday, May 2nd to record themselves for their Disney audition. The band hopes to perform in June of 2022. Thank you to all who came out to support the band despite the rain!




Catrina Oberfeldt recently visited the art classes to talk about her experiences studying art at EIU and also showed the students how to spin pots on the pottery wheel.





Doug Wohltman of Wohltman Constuction visited the MEDL class and did a mock interview with Kolten Koester. Doug also talked about the hiring process and different aspects of the construction industry. Kolten is a member of the CTEC class and did a great job on his interview in front of the whole class.


The students in Mrs. Mapes' English I class did a great job presenting their short story analyses to their peers!
