Students from last year's Industrial Ed classes donated 5 dog houses to the Effingham County Humane Society.
Mr. Koester gave the first quarter driver’s education class an automobile basic maintenance presentation. They learned to change a tire and check for various fluids under the hood of a vehicle.
Mrs. Mapes's and Ms. Philpot's THS Fundamentals of English class took a short field trip to the media center, where they watched book trailers to encourage independent reading. Art students recently completed their first drawing project. Grid lines were used to help get correct proportions and values were added to create contrast. Great job to these budding artists!

Unit #50 School Resource Officer Eric Higgs visited the THS Current Events class to talk about the Illinois Police Reform Bill (HB 3653) that was passed in January of this year. The students had earlier discussed the bill in class, and Officer Higgs came in to answer additional questions about the topic.

Two students from THS pulled weeds, swept up dirt ,and planted flowers by the unit office for graduation this weekend.
Mrs. Mapes already misses her seniors. They finished strong this year, ultimately presenting their findings from a survey project they conducted in Composition II.
