
Mrs. Grinestaff’s Careers Class had to escape the aliens at the "College Fair Escape Room”. Most groups were successful in figuring out the career questions to win keys to get out of the room!

THS Anatomy & Physiology students worked on a blood typing lab with their blood chapter. They have been learning about the blood donation process and blood disorders as well.

Students in Agriculture had a guest speaker today from the USDA. He spoke to the students about FSA Farm Loans.

Phys-Chem students are using the Vernier lab equipment for identifying locations on their phase change graph.



Physics is working on a torque project with the Vernier lab equipment.


In Computer-Aided Manufacturing class, students just finished three weeks of learning how to program a CNC machine. They designed their projects and cut them out on the CNC machines.





The THS Writing Club used their creative (and sometimes silly) writing skills to make Valentine's Day cards to share with loved ones.

4th Judicial Circuit Court Judge Marty Siemer visited THS Civics classes on Friday February 5, 2021. He spoke to THS sophomores about the structure of the Illinois Courts System, the various details of the trial process, and how citizens can serve through jury duty. While Judge Siemer also fielded several questions from the classes, no students were found in contempt of court today, and the visit was certainly enjoyed by all! Thanks again to Judge Siemer for taking the time to make today's visit work out!





Calculus students concluded their unit of study on derivatives with some optimization problems. Students are investigating the amount of surface area of aluminum used by bottling companies.




Industrial Ed students in Cabinet Making class finished up night stands this week. Cabinet making teaches students various woodworking tools and a useful trade skill. Students cut and built nightstands with some having a checkerboard inlay for the top design.





Keyboarding students are learning business etiquette daily. Tools such as how to introduce themselves, shaking hands, the importance of body language, and how to carry a conversation.

THS art students are working on their scratchboard drawings which is a process that involves scratching away black ink to reveal white underneath.

Yesterday was Generation Day at the high school as we celebrated both Homecoming Week and the 100th Day of School.

And teachers... well, we figured that if our seniors are old, then we must be haunting the halls as ghosts of the past





THS Student Council has decorated the halls for our Homecoming Week, aptly themed "Masquerade" this year.
