THS Anatomy and Physiology students were able to dissect cow and pig eyes as part of their special senses chapter! The lens was very cool to check out, as this is what is replaced during a cataract operation in humans. The tapetum (shiny blue part in the animal eye that causes their eyes to brighten when a light is shined on them) helps reflect visible light and contributes to their night vision. We humans don't have this.

"Welcome to life in the trenches!" U.S. history students at THS got a VIRTUAL look at what the trenches of WWI might have looked like, using Unit 50's Virtual Reality goggles.
