Each semester, Economics students participate in a program called The Stock Market Game where they are given $100,000 to invest in the market. This semester, Joey Niebrugge and Ethan Thoele placed 1st out of over 350 teams in our region by turning their $100,000 into $141,360. Congratulations to these young men for their savvy investing.
Today, Accounting students had the privilege of visiting Teutopolis State Bank where Rhonda shared insights on loans, credit scores, and various deposit accounts. Learning outside the classroom is always a treat! After the tour, they refueled at Kountry Kitchen.
Good luck to Robotics team, they will be competing tomorrow at Johnson County Community College in Overland Park Kansas.
Washington Savings Bank visited the Careers class to talk about budgets. Allison Carpenter and Deb Repking also talked to the students about the difference between credit and debit cards. Washington Savings Bank also sponsors THS with the Banzai online curriculum. Students in the Careers class are starting their budget project this week!
