Thanks to TEF mini grants, students are able to take part in a Makerspace at the Grade School where they can work on projects of their choice in the areas of engineering, robotics, coding, technology, arts and crafts. The materials and tools TEF has donated allow students to think creatively, problem solve, develop grit, and learn to grow from failure.

Intro into Engineering and Technology class just finished a lesson on bridges. Each group studied a different type of truss and had to build a popsicle bridge to match their truss. They had 3 bridges hold 310 lbs without breaking! They finished the lesson with a speaker from Howell Paving. Kurt Haarman spoke with the students about options that are available after high school and some current and past projects they have worked on.
